My checked-in baggage has disappeared. What do I do now?

If your checked-in baggage has disappeared and the airline confirms the disappearance, then it is the airline or the tour operator who is responsible for providing compensation.

It is important that you fill out a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) in the airport when you become aware that your baggage has not shown up.

If the airline does not provide full compensation for your baggage and/or its contents, you can claim the exceeding amount up to the maximum amount stated in the insurance letter. Please note that valuable items should be carried in the hand baggage.

What are the rules for travelling to China or the USA?

If you are travelling to China or to the US, you must remember to apply for a visa before embarking on your journey.

China: You need a visa. You must fill in an application and provide your finger print. You also need an invitation from the business that you are visiting in China including information such as name, passport number, dates and more. You can read more here.

My flight has been delayed. Will my insurance cover a new ticket?

When a flight is delayed, it is the responsibility of the airline to rebook you to a different departure or refund your ticket. The insurance does cover additional expenses related to waiting for a later departure and not covered by the airline, i.e. lodging, food, drink and reading material.
